Watson, Wahab charged by the ICC
Details yet to be released but ICC confirm duo have been charged for breaching Code of Conduct. Australia’s Shane Watson and Pakistan’s Wahab Riaz have been charged for breaching the International Cricket Council’s Code of Conduct.
The exact nature of the breach, and any possible sanctions, are unknown, with the ICC saying further details will be announced on Saturday.
The pair had a running battle during Australia’s run chase in their six-wicket win in their World Cup quarter-final at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
Wahab bowled a fiery spell to Watson and was unlucky not to claim the allrounder’s wicket when a top-edged pull shot slipped through the fingers of Rahat Ali on the fine leg boundary.
