Wahab, Shakib make late headlines as Test ends in draw
KHULNA: Left-arm fast-bowler Wahab Riaz and Bangladesh batsman Shakib Al Hasan were seen pointing fingers and firing verbal volleys at each other during the 118th over of the first Test match on Saturday which ended in a draw.
Muhammad Hafeez bowled the last ball of the 117th over to Soumya Sarkar for a single as the ball rolled to the short leg position where Azhar Ali ran in and collided with Soumya. The umpire Nigel Llong had to calm Azhar down as he was appealing for obstructing the field.
Meanwhile, Wahab and Shakib were involved in a word fight and Misbah had to jump in to save the day. Misbah was later seen talking to the umpire Ranmore Matinesz in order to ease the tension.
