Mohammad Hafeez likely to become new ODI skipper for Pakistan
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to make all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez as the new skipper of One Day Internationals (ODI) of Pakistan cricket team.
According sources, PCB has made a decision to appoint Mohammad Hafeez as the new skipper of ODI side while young star batsman Azhar Ali would be his vice-captain at least for a year.
Mohammad Hafeez who ruled out from the World Cup due to calf injury will likely to make a return to International cricket as a new skipper.
He had led Twenty 20 side and now he is expected to hand over the big responsibility once again.
Sources further told that Azhar Ali who was not part of ODI for a long time, now he would be the new leader of ODIs as he would be groomed till the time Hafeez is around.
On the other hand experts are suggesting Sarfraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz names to lead the side in One-day format. At this time Mohammad Hafeez is the most likely to lead the side during Bangladesh tour.
